The hotel canine Maskotas arises as a response to the growing demand of many people in Córdoba looking for a safe space and trust to leave their dogs.
Its founder and manager, David Ruiz, has always had a great passion for the animal world, with the dream of being a veterinarian from a very young age. He has shared his life with a great variety of animals such as dogs, cats, and horses, which has fueled even more passion. This combination between his love for animals and the detection of a real need in the city was what inspired him to create Maskotas: a place designed not only for the care and accommodation of pets, but also to give them attention, love and affection.
Our facilities
With the clear vision to actually do your project, David embarked on the search for the perfect place. After much searching, found what seemed to be the ideal place: a former nursery. It was an estate of more than 3000 square meters, full of vegetation —trees, shrubs and all kinds of plants, and with a spacious conservatory that kept the heat in during the cold months. Little by little, the dream began to take shape. A large part of the land was used to build multiple parks, and the greenhouse was transformed into inviting rooms interior. It was a lot to do!
David and his team turned completely in the transformation of the space: welded fences, cleaned up weeds, cut down trees and conditioned every corner to turn it into what would future parks and rooms.
After months of effort and physical labor, finally opened our doors to the public in November of 2022.
Since then, we have continued to improve every detail of our facilities, as well as our protocols and services, with the goal of always providing the best care and attention to both our clients and their beloved pets.
