The fascinating history of more than thirteen centuries of the Castle of Almodóvar. Know the origins and history of one of the most beautiful fortresses of Spain, of Arabic origin, built around the year 740 in the town of Almodóvar del Río, located in the province of Córdoba.

This you can do it with the help of a plane, with explanatory panels in 4 languages (Spanish, English, French and German) and with our audio guide (Available in Spanish and English. You can access all the rooms, except the palace neo-Gothic, residential area that is private.
The different tematizaciones next to the projections that you will find during the tour, will immerse you directly in the years of the different phases of the history of our great strength. Among others, the projection over the life of the XII Conde de Torralva and project work, as well as the documentary “Story of a dream”.
The Tour is not guided to the Castle to be completed with a walk through the Garden of the Pit, which is divided into zones, according to the type of vegetation (Eastern, Mountain, Mediterranean, Tropical, and Floral), ending this tour in the stunning Viewpoint of the castle.
We have different audiovisual projections, which allow you to discover the history of the Castle of Almodóvar since its first construction in the arab period and two mock-ups where you can see the times of siege and peace of the fortress.

The dungeon, the armorer, the exposure of swords or the Throne Room in the Tower of Homage are some of the stays referred you to enjoy our facilities.
A different way to visit the castle it is in the company of one of our guides, which along the way will give you an explanation very extensive in all of history. The approximate duration of this visit is of 1:30 h approximately. This can be done in Spanish, English and French.
